HOW TO UPDATE WINDOWS 10 1803 VERSION TO 1903 VERSION?

Before we begin to update our windows systems from 1803( April 2018 update) to 1903(May 2019 update) let us see what all the new features which make 1803 to 1903 UPDATE.

The size of the update is,
    for 32bit its around 3-4 Gb and for 64bit its 5-6 Gb. 

 This is the latest Screenshot from my PC. Windows 10 1903 provides Dark and light theme modes. I prefer dark theme mode, it saves my battery life and my eyes.

  Windows 10 main features are listed below;
1.Sleeker Start Menu and Start menu service.
2.Improved storage settings.
3. Search changes & details.
4.Voice Activation settings.
5.Reserved storage.
6.Automatic Troubleshooting.
7.Windows Sandbox.
8.Windows Security.
9.Linux on windows Enhancements.
10. Search and Cortana are Separated
         Cortana appears to be a taskbar icon.
11. Windows has now updated and auto-rollback feature.
12.Action center and Quick buttons changes.
Windows improved with Good visuals 
            13.Blurred Background on the login screen.
            14. Yes, Light theme as well.
For other technical details;

Windows 10 version 1903 system requirements

  • Processor: 1GHz or faster CPU or System on a Chip (SoC)
  • Memory: 1GB for 32-bit or 2GB for 64-bit 
  • Hard drive space: 16 GB for 32-bit or 20 GB for 64-bit.
  • Graphics: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
  • Display: 800×600

So to start:


step1. Open settings from the windows start button.

step2. Click on Update and security.

step3: Click on windows update.

step4: Then go for check for updates button.

step5.Click the Download and install now button, under the Feature Update to Windows 10, version 1903 section.

step6. Restart the pc now.


In case you didn't see the windows 1903 update option, like me.

follow these steps.

step 1. Download Windows 10 May 2019 Update assistant.

                   Google it or you may go to this link and download https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10

step 2. Install Update Assistant tool, it will check Your pc for compatibility, it will check for CPU, Memory and Disk Space.

Step3.Make sure you have a good Internet connection, it will download all necessary files automatically and install.

step 3. it will ask for Upgrade this pc now or create installation media, choose to Upgrade this PC now.

  If you are not confident, backup your files before starting this process.

Feel patient, it will take a while, it may take up to 3 hours depending on your processor speed.

 congratulations, You have successfully upgraded your PC from 1803 to 1903 version.
